A Man's Take on Price Matching

For a guy the thought of couponing is absolutely terrifying.  Don’t get me wrong, I think everybody likes to save a little money, but the thought of sifting through newspapers on a weekly basis and clipping pieces of paper to save 10 cents is just not appealing.

I've been married a few years now and my wife did the couponing thing, which was great for me because I didn’t have to do anything and it saved us money.  However, recently we were lucky enough to have a baby and with the new addition, my wife no longer wants to take the time to sift through the Sunday paper in search of the weekly coupons.  Therefore, she started price-matching at Wal-mart to try and still save a little money, but not take a lot of time to do it.

With the new baby and my wife returning to work from maternity leave, I find myself going to the store for our weekly groceries.  At first, I was leery of the price-matching thing, as I didn’t want to get a hard time from the cashiers and feared I would inconvenience the other customers.  Moreover, I simply didn’t want to take the time to make my list.  However, I  started to use Pricematcherz.com to do the list and have really gotten into a groove these days.   The cashiers have been nothing but great and the other customers have been extremely encouraging.  Often times I will have other customers (usually moms) come up to me and compliment me on my efforts and then compare our price match lists.  It has not only been a great way to save my family money and precious time, but it has also been a great avenue to meet new people.

 Thank You Pricematcherz!!!
